A different premise
The record has to compete the day it comes out.
Echelon Audio was built by engineers who mix for a living, for the sessions they actually sit in: a vocal that needs to land in tune before anything else, an 808 that has to read on a phone speaker, a master that has to be loud without falling apart. The tools are organized around those jobs, not around plugin categories.
The company is small by design. It is not small on proof. Every unit is measured before it ships, every demo is level-matched with its numbers published, and nothing is claimed that can't be shown.
It's the sound that counts
Measured, not marketed.
Every unit shares one DSP core and one calibration standard, so a chain of them behaves predictably in any order. Before a build leaves, it passes a test battery: null tests, aliasing floors, meter accuracy, program-dependent behaviour, host validation in every format. A build that fails waits. Dates follow the builds.
The product pages carry the receipts: what the battery proved, and what the demo measured — loudness, crest, sibilance, true peak — on real material, one instance, level-matched. If a number can't be measured, it isn't on the site.
Interfaces built like hardware
The faceplate is the interface.
One job per unit, one screen, controls you can read from across the room. If a control isn't on the front, it lives on a rear panel or it doesn't exist. The EA Essentials line takes this to its conclusion: twelve fixed-voicing classics on one shared design, where the voicing is the product.
Delivery is designed the same way. The Hub installs, updates and rolls back every unit you own from one sign-in, and the Friday Drop lands there the morning it ships.
