Same faceplate, different animal
The controls match EA-2A — GAIN, PEAK REDUCTION, the LIMIT / COMP switch — but the cell is ~1.5 ms fast and the ratio steeper (~4:1).

Push into the presence
Dial PEAK REDUCTION for 4–8 dB on an electric guitar or drum room. The mid-forward voicing lifts 1.5–3 kHz as it works.

Slam for grit
Driven hard, the solid-state stage adds odd-order edge — attitude, not warmth. Watch the VU; back off PEAK REDUCTION if you wanted smooth — that's EA-2A's job.

Level match
Set GAIN so the BYPASS A/B is honest — the faster cell makes over-compression easy to miss at mismatched levels.
