HALO
vocal pitch correctorA clean, natural vocal pitch corrector with transparent tuning and fast retune for the modern hard-tuned sound. From invisible to full effect.

- YIN + phase-vocoder tuning
- Fast retune for hard-tuned vocals
- Natural → full effect
- Key & scale lock
- Put it head to head with the tuner you use now, same vocal, matched level. Tell us where Halo wins — and be just as specific about where the other one still has us beat.
- Drop it on a vocal inside a full beat and confirm everything still lines up. Halo reports ~1145 samples for your host to compensate; if you ever hear the drums flam, that's a great catch and we'll want to know which DAW.
- Take retune all the way up on a slide or a run. That's the modern hard-tuned sound — tell us whether it lands where you'd want it.
- Try it on a low male vocal and a high female one. We'd love to know where the tracking impresses you most.

QUICK-START · 4 MINTune a lead vocal from invisible correction to full hard-tune in one pass.
- 01
Set the key
Use the SCALE arrows to pick the song's key and scale — the lane shows which notes are active. If you don't know the key, run SCOUT on the beat first and copy what it reports.
- 02
Dial AMOUNT
AMOUNT is how hard notes are pulled to the nearest scale pitch. Start around 40–60% for natural correction; push to 100% for the modern hard-tuned sound on slides and runs.
- 03
Watch the orb
The PITCH ORB shows the detected note, octave and correction in real time, and the CORRECTION meter shows how many cents you're shifting. If the INPUT NOTE readout is jumping octaves, the take is too noisy — gate or clean it upstream.
- 04
Shape with CHARACTER and MIX
CHARACTER adjusts the tone/formant of the corrected voice — use it if the tuned vocal sounds thin or plasticky. MIX blends corrected against dry; back it off a touch on verses to keep some human drift.
- 05
Verify and set OUTPUT
Hit DELTA to hear only the correction being applied — if it sounds like constant warbling, AMOUNT is too high for the take. Set OUTPUT to match your bypassed level.
- Enable LOW LATENCY while tracking — slightly less smooth, but the singer hears themselves in time. Switch it off for the mix pass.
- HALO reports ~1145 samples of latency for host compensation. If drums flam when the vocal channel plays, check your DAW's plugin delay compensation.
- Double-click any knob to reset it to default.
