Dial a slapback, then ride it into a dub throw.

Slapback first
SYNC off, TIME 80–140 ms, FEEDBACK low (one repeat), MIX to taste — the fifties vocal slap in one insert.

Sync for throws
SYNC on, TIME to 1/4 or dotted 1/8. Send a word or two hot and let the repeats carry the phrase; PING-PONG bounces them between the sides.

Filter the repeats
TONE darkens the echo path only — the dry signal never passes through it. Darker repeats sit behind the vocal instead of fighting it.

Age the transport
AGE adds wow and flutter, from showroom to well-worn. The repeats also saturate as they regenerate — each pass warmer than the last; the ECHO PATTERN display shows them decaying.
Pro moves
Once it's working.
- Ride FEEDBACK toward the top for the dub self-oscillation build — it stays bounded and musical by design.
- Automate MIX or the send, not TIME, for throws — TIME changes repitch like real tape. DUCK on the rear panel pulls the echoes down while the vocal sings.
