Send, don't insert
Put EA-VERB on an aux with MIX at 100% and send the vocal to it — the classic studio routing.

Set PREDELAY
20–40 ms separates the voice from the tail so the words stay intact in front of the reverb.

Set DECAY and SIZE
1.5–2.5 s DECAY covers most pop vocals; SIZE changes the plate's density character more than its length. The DECAY ENVELOPE display shows the resulting tail.

Darken TONE to sit it
Pull TONE toward DARK until the tail supports instead of sparkles — a darker plate sits behind the vocal; a bright one becomes an effect.
Pro moves
Once it's working.
- The tail is stereo-decorrelated by design — the centre image stays solid while the sides wrap; WIDTH on the rear panel narrows it.
- Long ballad tail: 4+ seconds, TONE dark, PREDELAY long. DAMPING and LOW CUT on the rear keep it silky, never metallic.
