AETHER
FDN spatial reverbA lush FDN spatial reverb with shimmer, freeze and modulation. From tight rooms to infinite clouds — the kind of space that makes vocals and synths float.

- FDN reverb — rooms to infinite space
- Shimmer & freeze
- Modulated tails
- 10 iconic-reverb presets
- Shimmer on a vocal tail. This is the sound Aether was built for — tell us if it floats the way you want it to, and which of the 10 presets you kept.
- Leave a long tail running for a few minutes while you work. Tails should sit perfectly still; if you ever hear one grow on its own, that's an excellent catch.
- Freeze, then keep playing into it. Does the frozen layer hold while new input sits cleanly on top?
- Run three or four instances as sends — real sessions have several reverbs, so let us know where the CPU lands on yours.

QUICK-START · 6 MINBuild a vocal or synth space from a preset to a tuned, ducked, shimmering tail.
- 01
Start from a preset
Browse the 24 factory presets — room/drum/vocal workhorses plus ambient and cinematic spaces. Pick the closest one; you'll reshape it in the next steps.
- 02
Drag the orb
The REVERB ORB is the fastest edit: drag horizontally for DECAY, vertically for SIZE; the glow shows MIX. Double-click resets both. For a vocal, 1.5–2.5 s decay in a medium size is the workhorse zone.
- 03
Separate with PRE
Set PRE (predelay) to 20–80 ms so the reverb starts after the dry word and the vocal stays up front. Or enable PRE SYNC and pick a tempo division so the space breathes with the track.
- 04
Clean the tail
Raise LOW CUT to 150–300 Hz to keep rumble and mud out of the tail, and pull HIGH CUT down to darken it into the background. DAMP controls how fast highs fade across the tail, like air absorption.
- 05
Add SHIMMER
Raise SHIMMER for pitch-shifted feedback and set PITCH to +12 for the classic octave-up halo. A little goes a long way under a vocal; more turns a pad into a cloud.
- 06
Duck it out of the way
Raise DUCK so the reverb pulls down while the dry signal plays and blooms in the gaps, with RELEASE timing the return. This keeps a big tail from swallowing a busy mix.
- 07
Blend
On an insert, set MIX to taste; on a send, run MIX at 100% and ride the send fader. Match OUTPUT against bypass.
- LOW RT and HIGH RT multiply decay per band (0.25–4×) — pull LOW RT under 1 to tighten bass buildup while the top rings on.
- Keep some RATE / DEPTH modulation running — it's what keeps long tails from ringing metallic.
- FREEZE sustains the current tail infinitely — automate it on the last word of a phrase for an instant pad.
- DELTA solos the wet tail so you can tune the reverb without the dry signal masking it.
