Why it exists
Drum compression is a two-minute job that modern compressors turn into a menu tour. The hardware this class is built on had three knobs and got sampled onto half the records you own.
EA-60 is feed-forward true-RMS into a VCA: set threshold, set ratio, set output, done. Hard knee for the slam; flip to over-easy and the knee widens into a leveler. Program-dependent timing keeps it punchy without a single attack knob.
