Why it exists
Surgical de-essers earn their place on the difficult take. On the other forty takes, you just need the esses handled before the compressor — without a spectrum analyzer's worth of decisions.
EA-DS is that box. Find the ess with FREQUENCY, pull THRESHOLD until the meter moves, and RANGE hard-caps the reduction so lisping is impossible by design. Hit MONITOR to hear exactly what's leaving. Zero latency, so it goes anywhere in the chain.
