ENRICH
quick-start.
Sweeten a thin source or bus into a bigger, more finished sound with a handful of macro moves.
6 steps · every control name is the real one · Saturation
Level-match first
Turn on AUTO GAIN (bottom right) before you touch anything — every move stays loudness-matched, so you're hearing enhancement, not volume. IN TRIM at the bottom left if the source is coming in hot.
Set the ENGINE
The ENGINE is the harmonic core: raise DRIVE, pick a VOICE (SILK, TAPE, TUBE, CRUSH, TRANS — HYPER for more of it), and use WET, BIAS and REACT to set how much colour there is, how asymmetric it is and how much it follows the dynamics.
Work the four bands
The engine is split into four bands (‹120 Hz, 120–800 Hz, 800–5.0k Hz, 5.0k Hz›), each with its own DRIVE and EXCITE. SOLO plays one band alone, Δ plays just its added harmonics, M/S restricts it to mid or side. FULL shows every band; SIMPLE collapses them.
Set the FINISH tone
In FINISH, work the three tone macros: LOW for weight, MID for presence, HIGH for air. They're bipolar, so they cut as well as enhance — pulling MID down while raising HIGH is a classic thin-sample fix. AMOUNT scales the whole Finish section; each macro has its own S (solo).
Shape the body
FILL adds low-end body and sub weight — the fix for thin 808s and samples. PUNCH enhances transient impact, and WIDTH spreads the enhancement in stereo (keep it modest on anything mono-critical). MORPH blends between SET A and SET B.
Safety and check
Engage the LIMITER with CEILING as an output safety, then use DELTA to hear the total enhancement and BYPASS for a matched A/B. PUSH leans on the limiter; OUT TRIM finishes.
Pro moves
Once it's working.
- The spectrum's EQ band nodes are draggable — fine-tune where the tone macros act directly on the display.
- Because everything is bipolar, ENRICH works as a reducer too: negative PUNCH softens transients, negative WIDTH narrows.
- QUALITY (2× / 4× / 8× / AUTO) is the oversampling — on bright material at low settings, listen to hats and cymbals for harshness before printing.
